Hi there,
Six of the major playors in the ITSM market have just produced a new report with the Aberdeen Group called ITSM - IT Transforms itself into a service. This report is a roadmap for IT organizations that desire to shift from a focus on technology and internal needs to how it services end users in support of the business mission through the use of IT Service Management (ITSM). Aberdeen’s research finds that Best-in-Class organizations are leveraging multiple capabilities and technology enablers to develop strategic ITSM solutions. The findings are drawn from a survey of almost 300 organizations. The six sponsors of this research are BMC, Axios, Interlink, Brain Force, OnForce and CompuCom giving it good credibility. To download the report use the follwing link http://www.aberdeen.com/link/sponsor...10890&cid=4313 |

This must be a new meaning of the word "credibility" that I was previously unaware of
Any white paper from six vendors (well one actually and five hangers-on) and their parasitic analyst should be treated with the utmost skepticism. Actually they want you to pay for it now which should limit readership to the rich and gullible ![]() |

Ah yes, but this harps back to the early days of IT, when "you couldn't be fired for buying IBM" - back in the days, when a good defense for doing something wrong, was blaming the vendor, and they would back you, and support you, and help you out of your quandary. (I was never an IBM Client) - THere was a "trust the vendor" mindset - it's a sad reflection on most of the vendors, that they haven't cherished and nurtured that.
